Tamarindo Costa Rica Weather
What months are the High and Low Seasons?
The high-season in Tamarindo is from November to April when it is drier and cooler. The low-season is May to October when we receive the most rain. Still, we are fairly dry when compared to the rest of Costa Rica. Also, during June and July, there is often a mini high-season when the school vacationers come to celebrate the holidays when we have two-weeks of extremely nice weather. Don't know why or when.
The sun shines just about 340 days per year, though in the rainy season (May through October), you can expect brief showers in the late afternoons. The graphs below depict average rainfall, sunshine and temperature throughout the year. The green bars in the graphs represent rainy season and the yellow bars dry season.
