Scuba Diving and Snorkeling

With an average mean water temperature of about 80 degrees Fahrenheit, you'll feel very comfortable!

A favorite diving destination are the Catalina Islands where their underwater formations of cliffs and passages are home for large schools of colorful fish, including angel fish, jacks, snappers, grunts, octopus and eels. Sometimes divers even see schools of manta rays and stingrays!

There are several different dive spots around the islands with depths ranging from 40 ft. to more than 100 ft, and visibility ranging from 20 to 100ft, depending on the levels of plankton and nutrients in the water. Your local dive shop will know the best places.

Best times to book a trip are between May and November (rainy season), with November being the best month. Contact a local dive shop to see up your adventure.
